Digital Scrapbooking

Creativity goes Digital with My Digital Studio from StampIn Up.

I'm so excited to share my most recent project with you. For a wedding gift for my daughter's teacher from the entire class, I created a cookbook using My Digital Studio (Item #118108, $79.95). I had each of the students send me 4 of their favorite recipes. I was able to paste and copy each recipe from a word file into my scrap book. I included class pictures and marriage advice from the kids. Then I used SIU high quality printing service to print the finished project and it was delivered to my front door in just 5 business days.

Definitely Decorative

Check out my kitchen wall!

You may remember 2 Christmas's ago I placed some of the StampIn' Up!'s pre-cut Christmas stars in this picture frame. Then in June one of my girls asked if I was ever going to take down that Christmas Decoration, I asked why? Christmas will be here in just 6 short months, and it was! But I finally did change my decor in January, my family is very happy. I just added some Chocolate Chip/Sanded looking Designer Series Paper (retired maybe 2 or more years ago). The flowers are from a big box craft store and the frame is from another Home Decor big box store.

BUT check out the vinyl decor' elements on the wall. The swirly lines are retired, but they brought a similar but fresher look in the 2009-10 Definitely Decorative mini catalog (pg 11, Flourishes, $14.95) , I did add the saying this year (pg 18, Chocolate, Great Dreams, medium, $14.95).

Our Vinyl Decor is inexpensive and so easy to apply. When your ready to change your decor, the vinyl easily comes off. Therefor you can change your decor often. I just love our home decor line, its such a wonderful way to express your creativity in your own home.

ENJOY!

Valentine Ideas

Just wanted to share a few fun and quick valentine gift ideas with you.

Message in a bottle

It's amazing what you can do with a little Designer Series paper and an empty diet coke bottle. Just write your special note on a piece of paper, tie a ribbon around it and drop the note into the bottle.

Coupon books
My kids look forward to getting a coupon book from mom, each Valentine. I fill each book with special coupons: batch of cookies, staying up 30 minutes past bedtime, skip one chore, choose whats for dinner, pick a game for the family to play, movie and popcorn night... etc.
Just special coupon's from ME!

I will have several blank coupon books for sale at the Garden City Chocolate Festival. You can fill them with your own special coupons for your valentine.

HAPPY VALENTINE DAY!

Fabric Flowers

Have you been wondering what I have been up to in January. Well here it is, Fabric Flowers. I used my Big Shot and the StampIn Up's exclusive Flower Folds bigz xl Die to create all these flowers. I have created over 50 of these flowers to sale at the Garden City Chocolate Festival this week end. Most of the flowers I designed with a hair clip, but the larger flowers are broaches to be warn on coats, sweater, ... etc. My daughters are very excited to wear these fabric flowers in their hair.

Back of flowers.
I attached hair clips and broache pins using a hot glue gun and some ribbon

Next are some small flowers, I thought could be used for baby's. I didn't sew any buttons on these flowers, but my daughters think I should. I just worried about a baby pulling off the button and swallowing or chocking on the button.
What do you think? Leave me a comment with your opinion.

Have your own Fabric Flower Party
If you would like to gather at least 5 of your closest freinds, some fabric and buttons, I would be happy to come to your house with my Big Shot and flower Die and we could make flowers. As many as time will alow.
$10 per person for 2-3 hours party, a small travel fee may apply.
I would also provide the hot glue and clips.
Just call me to book your party.

Bunko Gift

The other night it was my turn to host our local Bunko/Girls Night Out Club get together. So I made these cute mini milk cartons for each lady. I filled each mini milk carton with chocolate (of course!). I thought these mini milk cartons turned out so cute!!!! I used the Stampin' Up! Mini Milk Carton Bigz L Die and sending Love Speciality Designer Series Paper both are featured in the Spring Mini Catalog.

I can't remember which stamp set the "freind" tag stamp is from, I do know that it is retired. I took all my tag style stamps and put them all in one container, so I could have them all together when I needed to make a quick tag. I stamped the "freind" stamp on Whisper White Card Stock using Real Red ink. Punched out each image using the small tag punch. I then used miscellaneous pieces of ribbon I have in my large jar of ribbon pieces. I layered the tag using Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink or Real Red Card Stock, then I punched a hole in the tag, tied the ribbon around the tag and onto a paper clip ( I got from an office supply store). I then used the paper clip to hold the top of the mini milk carton closed. Remove the paper clip to reveal the treasures inside. So cute and easy to make.
